We’re Poets and We Know It!

This week, the class were excited to receive news that they were going to be awarded a certificate, a bookmark and a sticker for writing an acrostic poem for a poetry competition. Mrs Housman (assistant head and English Lead) visited the class to hand out their certificates and to congratulate the pupils for their creativity. Well done 2H!

Pupils collaborated today in PSHE by discussing and sharing ideas about stereotypical views of boys and girls. By the end of the session, pupils were more accepting that boys can have long hair, wear a dress or skirt e.g. kilt and that girls can play football. We ended the session with the message that more important than your outside appearance is that you are a honest and kind person.

Finally, the pupils created a painting in class during their RE lesson where they were exploring the wonders of the world e.g. the sea, the sun, the sky, plants and creatures.
