This week, the class were extremely excited when they heard they were going to create their own cupcake! We discussed the ingredients needed: butter, sugar, eggs and flour. The children had the choice of decorating their cupcakes with either icing, strawberries or both. They worked together in groups and took turns. Some children cracked the eggs, others read the weighing scales to ensure the right amount of sugar and flour was added to the mixture while others spent time mixing the ingredients altogether. Once the buns came out of the oven and had cooled, the children decorated them with icing or strawberries. They all said their cupcake was delicious and they enjoyed the experience. Well done 2H!
